A Dupe or Not a Dupe, That is the Question: Mac Smoked Purple Vs Rimmel 04

This season, all I wanted to wear on my lips was a semi black color! No, I'm not feeling the Gothic era, now am I emotionally unstable, I am a young lady with a fashion/beauty preference! What ended up happening is that I impulsively purchased a lipstick by Rimmel, which is in the Lasting Finish by Kate Moss in number 04, it has a black packaging, and I instantly fell in love! my students hated the lipstick on me but I am not wearing anything to please anyone but myself!

بالفتره الاخيره عم بحب احد حمره غامقه لدرجه انها على وشك تكون سودا. انه لا انا مش عم بمرق بمأساه بحياتي, ومش يأسانه ولا حاسه ياضطرابات عاطفيه, انا صبيه بتفضل شكل اشي معين من الموضه, او جانب معين من المواضيع المتعلقه بالجمال والتجميل. اللي صار اني اشتريت قلم حمره من ريميل باندفاع, والحمره اسمها مكتوب فوق بالخط العريض, ومن اول مره استعملتها وقعت بحبها. طلابي كرهو اللون, بس انا بلبسش الوان او ستايلات عشان ارضي حدا غيري انا!

So yeah Rimmel Kate Moss in 04 in a dark dark dark purple. On the lips I almost feel like it has a  browny gray undertone. Its glamorous. The first time I wore it I kept smiling to myself thinking I was the most badass woman in the holy land. But then I rocked it with being self conscious at all, its almost as if we got married! It applies sooo creamily like all the lipsticks I tried from the Kate Moss range, it can be sheered out or really built up. The more you build it up the glossier it turns. The lasting finish is decent, with reasonable eating and drinking I can get up to 4 hours of wear. And it does not dry my lips out. And here's the lipstick for you to see.

المهم! الحمره رقم 04 من ريميل لونها ليلكي غااااااامق! عالشفاف بحس انه فيها شوي رمادي على بني, كتير حلوه! اول مره حطيت هاد اللون كنت اضحك بيني وبين حالي حسيت اني انسان شبه متطرف, اني مشيت 180 درجه عكس نساء الاراضي المقدسه, بس بعدين تعودت! الحمره هاي بتنحط بسهوله, ملمسها ناعم بشبه الزبده! ممكن يتخفف اللون وممكن يتقوى, وكل ما قوي اللون اكثر كل ما صار يلمع اكتر. اللون هاد بضل عالشفاف تقريبا 4 ساعات مع اكل وشرب خفيف, وبحسش باخر النهار انه نشف شفافي. واياه اللون زي ما انتو شايفين.

As I said, this shade hit me like a cupid would, I didn't see it coming, and it happened really quickly. But being a lipstick lover, I had to get more similar shades, and I had one shade in particular that I had my eyes on. Mac Smoked Purple is another total stunner in my opinion. I also feel like there's a browny gray undertone to this, probably even stronger than the Kate Moss one. The main difference that I found between the two is purely the finish, Mac Smoked Purple is classified as a Matte lipstick, and judging by my experience in Mac's Matte lipsticks, this one feels drier than most of their matte lipsticks, so it does drag a little bit on the lips, and that means that it doesn't give full on pigment immediately. However all this negativity translates to more longevity, *TIN*, we've got a longevity winner! I'll show you a picture of it right now!

متل ما قلت, هاد اللون عمل فيي متل الحب من اول نظره! بس مكتفيتش بس بلون واحد غامق لهالدرجه! اللون اللي كان براسي من ماك واسمه مكتوب بالخط العريض فوق. كمان هاد اللون حلو بشكل مش طبيعي! حسيت انو يمكن فيه اكتر بني على رمادي من اللون من ريميل. الفرق الاساسي بين اللونين حسب رايي هو درجة اللمعان وكمان سهولة الاستعمال. ماك صنفت هاد اللون على انو مات, يعني بدون لمعه, وعلى فكره, بالمقارنه مع الالوان المات من ماك, هاد بنعد من اكترهن نشاف, واكترهن صعوبه بالاستعمال. بما انه نسبيا ناشف, هاد بعني انه اللون مش رح يكون 100% متجانس لما تحاولو تحطو عالشفاف, واللون مش رح يكون قوي من اول ما تحاولو تحطو, يعني لازم تبنو قوة اللون. بس كل هاي السلبيات بتعملو لون بقعد عالشفاف وبتحركش كل النهار, يعني من اكتر الالوان اللي بتضاين عالشفاف. واللون اياه تحت.

I applied the Rimmel 04 on the left half and Mac Smoked Purple on the right half

When worn side by side, I found it harder to notice the differences, simply because the shine of Rimmel's 04 isn't super glossy, its just glossy enough for it not to count as a matte. Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy in Insolent Plum

This is a lipstick alert to all of us lipstick addicts! Estee Lauder's newest, I think, lipstick release is just fantastic. They are called the Pure Color Envy, and believe me, those who see the rich color pigmentation, the elegant sheen, and how comfortable you look with a beautiful color on your lips will most definitely envy you!

هاي الحمره هي انذار لكل وحده عندها ادمان على الوان الحمره! الاصدار الجديد من استي لودر حسب رايي هو اكثر من رائع! اسم النوع مكتوب بالخط العريض فوق, وانا متأكده انه كل وحده اللي رح تشوف اللون القوي, اللمعه اللي بمنتهى الاناقه, وتشوف قديش اللون مريح عليكي, اكيد رح تغار منك ومن اللون اللي استعملتي!

The range has a dozen of shades, I went to the counter and swatched them numerous times because I just couldn't decide om a shade to get. And then finally I bit the bullet and went for what I think was the darkest shade in the range. It is winter after all, and I cant get enough of those type of shades. The one I got is in the number 450 Insolent Plum.

في كتير الوان بهاد النوع من اقلام الحمره, لدرجة اني احترت ورحت كذا مره اجرب الوان حتى اقرر اي لون اشتري, القرار كان عنجد صعب! وبالنهايه قررت انه اجا الوقت اشتري لون, واللون لازم يكون اغمق واحد, بالذات لاننا بالشتا! اللي اخترته رقمه 450 واسمه مكتوب بالخط العريض فوق.

Taraaaa! This is such a gorgeous kind of Mac Rebel color but better! Its a beautiful berry with a strong kick of sheen thrown in it. I honestly think I couldn't have chosen a better color for me. I do not own Mac Rebel, but I think they would probably look pretty darn close. Oh well, just for the sake of comparison and getting a better feel of the gorgeous color of this lipstick, here's a picture of it swatched next to Rimmel Lasting Finish by Kate Moss in 30, Clinique Chubby Stick Intense in Grandest Grape, and Dior Rouge Dior in Fantastic Plum. Estee Lauder Insolent Plum looks like Either Rimmel's 30 & Clinique's Grandest Grape baby. I also swatched Mac's Rebel and it is incredibly similar to this. Well you be the judge and tell me if these swatches don't look almost identical! 

اللون المخيف (رائع باللغه العاميه) هاد كتير بشبه ريبيل من ماك, بس احلى واحسن! لونه بشبه التوت البري مع لمعه قويه! بظنش كنت بقدر اختار لون احسن من هيك! مع اني معنديش ريبيل, بس عشان نعمل مقارنه, رح افرجيكو 4 الوان من شرك مختلفه, بي مع الوان متشابهه, عشان المقارنه تكون احسن, الاوان مكتوبه فوق بالخط العريض وبقلب الصور كمان. الالوان كتير بتشبه بعض, واللون من استي لودر كانه مكون من خلط بين اللون من كلينيك وريميل.

On the lips it applies in such a creamy manner, just the right amount of creaminess for it to glide like Santa's sleigh across the clouds, yet its not too creamy that it starts feathering and dropping gifts in the middle of a deserted children-less land! I hope you get what I mean, that's me feeling pretty Christmasy yet writing a lipstick review! It feels incredibly light too, just like Santa would on his way back home! So yeah the application is even and flawless! What I loved too is the longevity. It lasted on me for over 4 hours and a half, as long as I gave it 30-45 minutes of no eating or drinking, you know, the time to sit, set, and stain. I think this lipstick release will make Estee Lauder one of the best lipsticks producing high end cosmetics brand!

لما بتحطو عالشفاف بتحسو قديش سلس متل الكريم, بس مش اكتر من اللازم لدرجة انه اللون "يتسرب" حوالي الشفاف وعالسنان! هو كمان كتير خفيف عالشفاف, كانكو مش حاطين اشي من اساسه! كمان بضاين عالشفاف لاكثرمن 4 ساعات او 4 ونص, خاصه اذا بتستنو نص ساعه عليه قبل ما توكلو وتشربو! بظن هاد النوع من اقلام الحمره رح يحمل استي لودر 10 درجات لفوق على مدرج الشرك اللي بتعمل اقلام حمره ممتازه!

Lastly, in terms of packaging, I LOVE it! The packaging is one of the best I've seen in a long long time! the color of it is this beautiful dark midnight blue with a gold top and bottom. It has the brand's name either engraved or imprinted in the head, and then the name of the line and the shade's number and name can be located on the bottom. One of the two most beautiful things about the packaging is the Estee Lauder imprint on the inner packaging when you take off the cap! I think it's just such a classy touch, makes the tube look super luxurious! And then the cherry on top of the cake is the magnetic closure, the satisfying magnetic click is TO-DIE-FOR! This lipstick seriously took me by surprise, I am now keeping an eye out for Estee Lauder's new releases, it is worthy of my attention! Oh and sometimes Estee Lauder has awesome sales, and you can actually buy this lips for the same price as Mac lipstick more or less!

اخر اشي بضل الشكل لقلم الحمره, ومن اسا بقول, انا كتييير حبيت! المنظر الخارجي كتير حلو, كتير! لونه ازرق غااااامق, وذهبي من فوق ومن تحت. اسم الشركه مكتوب من فوق, واسم النوع ورقم واسم اللون نفسه مكتوبين من تحت. وحده من احلى التفاصيل بشكل الحمره هي لما تقيمي الغطا وتشوفي الاسم استي لودر مكتوب عالقسم الذهبي بالداخل, لمسه كلاسيكيه رائعه! والكرزه اللي على وجع الكعكه هي طريقة الاغلاق المغناطيسيه! انا تفاجئت من الحمره هاي, استي لودر فاقت توقعاتي, اظن بعد اليوم رح يكون الي نظره مختلفه للشركه كلها! اه وممكن تلاقوه بسعر اقلام الحمره من ماك اذا كان في تنزيل منيح!

My New Sleek Blushes

I went CRAZY a month ago and order 6 Sleek single blushes and 2 sleek blush trios! Basically, now I have brand new 12 colors of blushes, congratulations Carol!

قبل شهر كان في تنزيل بموقع سليك للمكياج, وطبعا بعرفش شو صابني, بس اللس بعوفو اني شريت 12 لون بودره للخدود, 6 منهن بيجو منفردان, والباقي بيجو بعلبتين فيهن 3 الوان!

I havent use them all, I want to save the review for next month so for now let me show you the colors!

Matte Top Coat on Metallic Nail Polishes

Matte, Metallic, an oxymoron! But isn't it interesting to try and see what ends up happening if we just mix the two together?
Today I have the epitome of shiny nail polishes, OPI's OPI With a Nice Finish! There's  nothing more metallic than that gold, except for a smile! Take a look, absorb the shine! Yup, there is absolutely nothing matte about this bad boy!

مات, لامع, كلمتين عكس بعض كلياً! بس مش مثير للفضول فكرة انه نجرب ونشوف شو بصير لما ندمجهن مع بعض؟

اليوم معي لون مناكيرالي بيتلخصو فيه كل الوان المناكير اللامعه, واسمه مكتوب بخط خميل فوق! مفش اشي بلمع اكتر من الذهب, ما عدا البسمه طبعا! القولكو نظره, شوفو اللمعه! فش باللون هاد ولا نتفة مات!

Now its time for the scientific experiment, put on your chemistry lab glasses and lets get started! I have the Chic Matte Topcoat which I have tried with regular cream nail polishes, and believe you me, it works! Today I want to see if it can mattify metallic nail polishes, I am not sure what to expect, but that's why we're in this together!
Applied two coats of OPI With a Nice Finish, waited for it to dry down, and now I'm going with a layer of this mattifying top coat. I wish I didn't have to wait for a minute to see the results, but here we go, take a look!

اسا اجا وقت التجارب العلميه, البسولكو نظارات مختبرات الكيميا و يلا نبلش! عندي طبقه اضافيه بحطوها عالمناكير من شركة شيك اللي مفروض تحول كل لون لمات, انا جرتها من قبل وبوافق بانها بالفعل حولت الالوان من مع لامعه لمات. اليوم حبيت افحص اذا بتقدر تحول الالوان اللي مع لمعه قويه بالاخص مثل المعادن لمات, معنديش توقعات معينه, عشان هيك عم منجرب الاشي سوا!

حطيت طبقتين من المناكير الذهبي واستنيته ينشف, وبعدين حطيت طبقه وحده من المناكير المات عواحد من الاصابع, وطبعا استنيت ينشف!

To be honest I wanted the matte effect to be MUCH MUCH more prominent than it turned out to be, there is still a lot of shine, I would say that the shine has dulled down by 30%-ish, which is not enough in my opinion.
I guess I was, or I though I was, putting it in a Freddie Mercury way, 'defying the laws of gravity.' Clearly that did not happen. But being the determined beauty blogger I'd like to think I am, I applied a shiny top coat (Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Topcoat) on the other nail that did not have anything on it just to see if it would make a difference, and here are the results I guess.

بصراحه النتيجه كانت اقل من شو انا كنت متوقعه. اللمعه بعدها ملحوظه, بظن انها خفت بحوالي 30%, وانا مش مكتفيه بالنتيجه هاي!

الظاهر اني كنت مفكره حالي رح الاقي طريقه امشي عكس قوانين الطبيعه, عكس الجاذبيه, وواضح انه الاشي مصرش. بس بما اني مصره عنتايج احسن, حطيت طبقه لامعه عالاصبع التاني عشان اشوف فرق اكبر, وايها النتيجه!

You can definitely see a clearer difference now, but its not enough for me to have an AHA (not alpha hydroxy acid, though that would be interesting!!) moment and feel all proud for accomplishing a beauty hack of some sort!
What do you guys think? A bit of a let down right? I think it is anyway!

Rimmel Does Better Than Rimmel Lasting Finish By Kate Moss in 107

I Caved, I bought the infamous 107 lipstick that EVERY YouTube Beauty Channel has this lipstick sitting among the angels in heaven. But to be COMPLETELY honest, I never thought it looked exceptionally pretty on ANYONE. It's just like me and Rebel, I go to Mac counters, swatch Rebel, put in on my lips, and going MEH! The difference between Mac and Rimmel is that if you do a Mac mistake, you spend at least twice the amount of cash that you do if you make a Rimmel Mistake. So I caved and I got the 107, and its recent Rimmel Kate Moss contender in 30, just because I thought this one looks nicer!

بعد سنتين من مقاومة شراء الحمره رقم 107 من ريميل كيت موس, وقعت تحت تأثير الضغط الجماعي واشتريته! مع انه بصراحه مكنتش احب اللون على وجوه الصبايا اللي بحكو عنه. المسأله بالظبط متل مشكلتي مع ماك ريبيل, كل ما اروح عدكانة ماك بجربه علي وولا مره حبيته! بس الفرق بين انك تشتري اشي بتحبيهوش من ماك وبين انك تشتري اشي بتحبيهوش من ريميل انك بماك بتدفعي اضعاف ما بتدفعي بريميل! المهم, قررت اشتري 107 وكمان المنافس الجديد اله من ريميل برضو ورقمه 30, انه بركي اذا محبيتش 107 احب 30.

On the first day after I received the lipsticks I went ahead and put 107 on and headed out the door. I literally felt UNCOMFORTABLE throughout the entire day, I didn't have any other lip product in my handbag, and I was stuck with 107. At the time, I haven't swatched 30 yet. When I got back home. I decided to do a quick little lipsticks test! I took off the lipstick on one side of my mouth and went ahead and applied Rimmel Kate Moss in 30! OH LORD, what a difference a lipstick makes. The colors are close, but I MUCH, but really MUCH PREFER 30 over 107!

باليوم اللي وصلو في اللونين, مباشرة حطيت 107 ورحت عالشغل! بس طول النهار مكنتش مرتاحه, ولانه مكنش معي حمره تانيه بالجزدان, علقت مع حمره محبيتهاش علي! وقتها مكنتش بعدني مجربه رقم 30. لما روحت عالبيت قررت افحص قديش اللونين بشبهو بعض. قمت 107 عن نص من شفافي, وحطيت محله رقم 30! الفرق اللي حسيته!!! هني الاوان متشابه, بس انا بفضل رقم 30 عن 107 بكتير!

I'll start by describing 107 just to get it over with. This is a red toned berry, it has a cool undertone to it, and it has a semi matte finish. It is supposed to be completely matte, but now that I dipped my toes into the Mac Matte lipsticks pool, this isn't as matte as... Smoked Purple for example. It applies nicely like all the lipsticks I've tried from the Kate Moss lipsticks line, and it lasts well as long as you don't do a lot of eating or drinking. It does stain the lips. And it smells lovely! It does not feel particularly dry on the lips. I mean I love these range of lipsticks, I just cant stand the color.

بدي ابلش احكيلكو عن 107 عشان اخلص منه! اللون بشبه لون التوت البري بس عأحمر, ونسبيا فش في لمعه. هو مفروض يكون مات, بس اذا بقارنو بالاوان المات من ماك, متلا سموكد بربل, بتشوفو انه مش عنجد مات. الحمره بتنحط بسهوله عالشفاف, متل كل الالوان من سلسلة كيت موس, وبضاين وقت منيح بدون اكل او شرب. بصبغ الشفاف شوي. وريحته حلوه! بحسش انه بنشفلي شفافي. يعني انا معنديش مشكله مع الحمره نفسها, مشكلتي مع اللون!

But on the other hand, we have 30, which is a pure berry color, not enough red in it to qualify as a red berry. This line of lipsticks does not claim to be matte, so this lipstick has a nice creamy finish to it. In terms of texture and performance, I don't have anything to add than what I have already stated above, I really really like the formula of these bad boys. Oh, and the price!

اما رقم 30, لونه متل التوت البري بس بدون الحمار الموجود ب 107. هاد النوع بحكيش انه مات, فهو فيه لمعه ملحوظه عالشفاف. من ناحية الجوده, هو ممتاز, متل كل النوع هاد من كيت موس. يعني فش شو اضيف عن شو صرت حاكيه. اه, نسيت احكي انه السعر ممتاز!

I wouldn't say that 30 is universally better than 107, but if you prefer a pure berry as opposed to a red berry, then you and I may prefer 30 over 107, and its OK to go against the stream every now and then, it makes you feel more as an individual than a clone of every other YouTuber or Beauty Blogger.

بصراحه انا مش جاي احكي انه 30 احلى من 107 وانه عندي اثباتات علميه عالموضوع. المسأله مسألة ذوق وشو كل وحده بتفضل. عكلن, منيح الواحد يمشي عكس التيار مرات, بتضلكو حاسات حالكو مميزات بشي اشي, مش نسخه عن كل الصبايا الباقيه!
